HIGHLIGHTS OF NOVEMBER 2025

  • Skandan KS and Sathwik Sarath emerged as the National Winners of Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2025.
  • Niya Rose of IX A bagged First position in Biology for Shastra Children's Science Congressand our school also shared the prize for the Top Winning School in Biology along with Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala.
  • Meera M and Anuja R, faculty, Department of Mathematics secured Third prize in the Thejoganitham competition conducted by Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram.
  • Dr Sabu Samuel,faculty,Department of Social Science and Ranga Achariar N,faculty,Department of Physics secured third prize in Abhiruchi 2025 – TEACH 360°
  • Two teams emerged winners in the Regional Level CBSE Science Exhibition and were selected to participate at the National Level.Ameena Nazreen A. S. and Niveditha Uthaman (XI) presented “Scales of Change: Sparkle of Sustainability” under Waste Management – An Alternative to Plastic, while Haridath R. Nair and Niya Rose (IX) presented “Blue Volt” under Green Energy

 

 

  • In the 27th All Kerala Bhavan’s Fest for Category V held at Kulapathi Munshi Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Pottore, our students won the following prizes:

      1. Carnatic Music -First prize - Reyansh Nair (XI)
      2. Malayalam Recitation -Second prize - Daya Bijibal(XI)
      3. Oil painting-Second prize-Abhinav Aravind (XII)
      4. Light Music- Third prize- Daya Bijibal (XI)
      5. Hindi Recitation- Third prize - Ojiya K Frijo (XI)
      6. Tabla -Third Prize - Anand S Nair (XI)
      7. Clay Modelling - Third prize - Nanda V H (XI)
      8. Keyboard -Third prize - Panchal Shreegauri (XI)

  • The Bhavan’s Prathibha Award was conferred upon Reyansh Nair of Class XI.
  • Students who secured prizes in the Samskrutotsavam 2025 competitions include Aadityaprasad M. S. (V) – First in Sanskrit Geetham, Maheswar R. Nair (V) – Second in Sanskrit Geetham, Shriya Sandeep (VI) – First in Sanskrit Geetham and Second in Padya Ucharanam, Aadityaprasad (V) – First in Sanskrit Storytelling and Second in Sanskrit Gadya Parayanam, and Diya Krishna V. P. (VIII) – Second in Champu Prabhashanam.
  • The Under-19 Girls’ Volleyball team qualified for the finals and emerged First Runners-up, with team members Ojiya K Frijo, Niveditha Uthaman, Helen Sibiraj (XI), Catherine Deepak, Nandana B, Keerthana S, Prarthana Sreejith, Diya Janson, Gauri Nanda P S (IX), Avani Ginu (XI), and Aarushi S Nair and Dhiya M Nair (VII). Individual honours were awarded to Abhinav Babu (XI) – Best Player, Football; John Basil Biju (XI) – Best Player, Volleyball; and Niveditha Uthaman (XI) – Promising Player, Volleyball.
  • In the Chinmaya Mission Gita Competition, Diya Krishna V P of Std VIII secured the Second Prize and Kalyani Anil of Std VI won the Third Prize. Both students have been selected for the District-level competition.
  • Two school projects were selected for the next level of the YIP (Young Innovators Programme) by K-DISC and Samagra Shiksha Kerala from the Ernakulam district. The selected students were Avani Krishna, Arya Unnikrishnan, and Sraddha Jamesh (IX), and Reyansh Nair and M. M. Fawaz (XI).
  • Students of Std VIII participated in the Interschool Camp at Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal and won several honours. Dhruv V. S. was awarded Best Runner; Janaki R. and Skandan K. S. were part of the Best Team; Dhruv V. S. and Vedha Arun were part of the Runner-up Team. Ms. Seethal M (Hindi Dept.) was part of the Best Teacher’s Team and was recognised as an Adventurer.

HIGHLIGHTS OF OCTOBER 2025

  • Ojiya K. Frijo, Gauri Chandrababu Menon, and Niveditha Uthaman of Std XI received the Shri K. M. Munshi Pratibha Scholarship for all-round excellence.
  • Nivedhya M of Std VIII won second prize in the Senior Category Painting competition by the Breakthrough Science Society.
  • In the Chinmaya Mission Gita Competition, Diya Krishna V. P. (Std VIII) won second prize and Kalyani Anil (Std VI) won third prize and qualified for the district level.
  • Smt Sheeba George,faculty,Department of Biology was honoured with the Best Teacher Award on World Teachers’ Day 2025 by Lions International District 318 C, through a program that recognised the finest teachers from the Ernakulam, Alappuzha, and Idukki districts.

 

HIGHLIGHTS OF SEPTEMBER 2025

  • Anjaly P. Joshy of Std XII secured 2nd Runners-Up in the 100m U-19 Girls at the CBSE National Athletic Meet 2025.
  • Ishan Nikhil of Std III and Tejaswini Manoj of Std IX won silver at the Ernakulam District Taekwondo Championship 2025.
  • The school received the P.T. Thomas Educational Excellence Award 2025 for 100% SSLC and Plus Two results.
  • Smt. Vidya Mohan received the P.T. Thomas Best Teacher Award 2025.
  • In Sahodaya Fest 2025, Aditi P. Arun won 1st in Water Colouring and 2nd in Pencil Drawing; Akshad Damodar won 1st in Sanskrit Recitation and 3rd in Light Music; Nivedya M won 1st in Digital Painting; Anisresh A R and Haridath R. Nair won 2nd in PPT; Ojiya K. Frijo won 1st in Hindi Story Writing and 2nd in Versification; and Abhinav won 2nd in Water and Oil Painting.
  • Dharmik Sreekumar of Std XII won bronze at the Yonex-Sunrise South Zone Badminton Championship 2025.
  • At Bhavan’s Fest, Nivedya M won 1st in Clay Modelling, Anisresh A R won 1st in Pot Decoration, Sridhar K won 1st in Gita Chanting, Aradhya Manoj won 3rd in Malayalam Story Telling, and Ishan Vishnu won 3rd in Violin.
  • Niranjana V. Warrier of Class I-C won 2nd in the U-6 Ernakulam District Chess Championship organized by the Ernakulam Chess Association.
  • Abhinav Sreejith of Std VIII won 1st in the U-14 CIS Ernakulam Interschool Chess Championship organized by CIS Ernakulam in association with the Ernakulam Chess Association.
  • Reyansh Renjith of Std II won 1st in the National Level Colouring Competition “Tiger – My Friend.”

 

HIGHLIGHTS OF AUGUST 2025

  • Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya emerged as champions in the CBSE Cluster XI Badminton Championship 2025 (Under-19 Boys category) held at Sanskara School, with team members Dharmik Sreekumar, Harshvardhan Brijesh, and Adeep Jith leading the victory.
  • In Labyrinth, the inter-school competition hosted by Bhavan’s Adarsha Vidyalaya, Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya secured First Prize in Kathaprasangam and Third Prize in Aroha.
  • At AMUN, the MUN competition conducted by Assisi Vidya Niketan Public School, the following students of Varuna Vidyalaya received Verbal Mentions — Gouri (UNODC Sudan), Ameena (UNODC Kenya), Jiya Varghese (UNGA Turkey), Harinarayanan T.R. (UNGA India), Ananya Ann Abraham (AFP International Press), and Aadhya Ajay (UNSC Pakistan). A Special Mention was awarded to Shourya Sharma (UNGA China).
  • Anjali P Joshi secured the second position in the 100m race in the Under-18 girls category at the prestigious 69th Dr. Tony Daniel Memorial Ernakulam District Athletic Championship 2025. She has also won First in the 100m and 200m race and also became the individual champion in the under 19 Girls category and qualified for the Nationals to be held at Varanassi.
  • Harshvardhan Brijesh of IX A  won the U15 SinglesAll Kerala Badminton tournament held at Nazar School of Badminton, Karunagapally.
  • In the Magnam Opus Interschool Competition held at Bhavan’s, Girinagar on 23/08/2025, our school showcased commendable talent and won prizes in various events. 

HIGHLIGHTS OF JULY 2025

  • In the inter-school Tech Fest SRUSHTI - YUKTARA organized by Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura we have bagged prizes in the following events:

                1. Shilpakriti - Second
                2. Kalki Pralayam - Second
                3. Yantrakriti - Second
                4. Kalpayantra - Third
                5. Aksharachitra - First
                6. Dwaar Tantra - First

           Our school has bagged the Overall Trophy in the fest.

HIGHLIGHTS OF JUNE 2025

  • Our school has been awarded the KIZSAPS Green School Award for 2025 in recognition of its commitment to environmental sustainability.
  • Our School won Overall Championship Trophy in KRITHI 2K25, the Interschool Cultural Competition conducted by Bhavan's Newsprint Vidyalaya, Velloor
  • Ishan Vishnu of Class VIII A won First Prize in Violin at Nadanirjhari, hosted by Vidyodaya School.
  • Dharmik Sreekumar of Std XII C has emerged as the Champion in all three categories — U-19 Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles — at the Ernakulam District Badminton Championship organized by the Ernakulam District Badminton (Shuttle) Association (EDBSA).
