Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya Celebrates XXXIV Annual Day with Splendour and Distinction
Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara, celebrated its XXXIV Annual Day with dignity and grandeur, marking the occasion through two days of vibrant and meaningful programmes for the Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary Sections at the school premises on 16 and 17 January 2026.
The festivities commenced each day at 9.00 a.m. with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a solemn prayer by the school choir, setting a reverential and auspicious tone. The Kindergarten and Primary Sections were honoured by the gracious presence of Smt. Sunitha S., Academic Supervisor, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, as the Chief Guest as well as Shri K Suresh, Deputy Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra.
The Annual Day celebrations continued on the following day with equal splendour for the Secondary and Senior Secondary Sections. Smt. Parvathy Gopakumar, IAS, Assistant Collector, Ernakulam, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme opened with a cordial welcome by Smt. Lakshmi Gopinath, Staff Secretary. The Annual Report was presented by the Principal, Smt. Remadevi K. P.
CA Venugopal C. Govind, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, delivered the Presidential Address, reaffirming the Bhavan’s enduring educational philosophy rooted in values and character formation.
In her inspiring address, the Chief Guest urged students to uphold integrity, discipline and social responsibility.
Shri E. Ramankutty, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, also addressed the gathering, reiterating the organisation’s vision for holistic education.
The felicitation segment was led by Shri Karthikeyan S., President, PTA, followed by the distribution of prizes and accolades to deserving students. The Head Boy, Aaryan Prabha, shared reflective reminiscences of student life, while the Head Girl, Ahada Fathima, proposed the vote of thanks. The celebrations concluded with a vibrant variety of entertainment programmes.
The two-day Annual Day celebration stood as a proud reaffirmation of Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya’s enduring legacy of excellence and its resolute mission to nurture confident, compassionate and well-rounded learners.
