Gurupurnima Celebrated with Reverence at Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara
With blessings resonating in the air and reverence illuminating every heart, Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara, commemorated Gurupurnima with profound devotion and ceremonial grace. The occasion was graced by Dr. Saritha Maheswaran, Head of the Department of Literature Government Sanskrit College, Tripunithura, who served as the esteemed Chief Guest.
The event commenced with a heartfelt welcome address by Ojiya K. Frijo of Std XI, whose eloquence set the tone for the day’s solemn proceedings. Shriya Sandeep of Std VI recited ‘Gurusthotra’ adding an air of reverence and divinity to the occasion.In her keynote address, Dr. Saritha Maheswaran eloquently emphasised the timeless significance of the Guru in shaping lives and imparting wisdom, underscoring the importance of honouring one’s teachers with humility and gratitude.
As a gesture steeped in the rich traditions of Indian education, Gurudakshina was reverentially offered to the Chief Guest, Dr. Saritha Maheswaran, Principal Smt. Remadevi K. P., and Vice Principal Smt. Smitha Jayaraj, symbolising the enduring values of respect, gratitude and devotion towards one’s mentors.
Students across all grades offered Gurudakshina to their teachers, a humble yet powerful gesture of gratitude. The act served as a reminder of the sacred journey guided by the Guru—one that transcends the material and leads from the ephemeral to the eternal.
