MERIT DAY 2025
Bhavan's Varuna Vidyalaya, in association with the Parent Teacher Association, hosted Pratibhotsavam 2025, its Annual Merit Day, to honour the outstanding academic achievements of students from Standards X and XII. The event stood as a testament to the institution's commitment to recognise perseverance, discipline and hard work among its learners. The ceremony commenced on a solemn note with a prayer rendered by the school choir. Shri Madhusudhanan K A, Faculty, Department of Mathematics, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. This was followed by a comprehensive presentation of the SSE and SSCE 2024 examination results by the Principal, Smt Remadevi K P, highlighting the commendable performance of the students. The presidential address was delivered by CA Venugopal C Govind, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra. He applauded the efforts of the achievers and reaffirmed the institution's enduring legacy in shaping future leaders. In his keynote address, Sri E Ramankutty, Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, extended heartfelt congratulations to the meritorious students. He encouraged them to embody the values and ethos upheld by the Bhavan in every stage of life. Emphasising the importance of such accolades, he noted that individual success not only motivates peers but also cultivates a spirit of healthy competition and academic diligence throughout the student body. The event was further graced by Shri Biju Gopal, Chairman, SMC, NPOL, and Dr Sooraj K Ambat, President PTA, both of whom conveyed their goodwill and lauded the collective effort of the entire school community. They underscored the importance of celebrating such milestones as a means of fostering institutional pride and reinforcing a shared vision of excellence. The high achievers were felicitated with citations and certificates sponsored by the PTA, symbolising both recognition and encouragement for their continued journey towards academic and personal growth.
Adding a personal touch to the day's events, Aniketh Prashant, Student Representative for the academic year 2024-25, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the student body. He thanked the school management, teachers, and parents for their unwavering support and guidance. His words reflected the deep sense of appreciation and aspiration shared by the students of Bhavan's Varuna Vidyalaya.
The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri K M Rajesh Nambiar, PTA member, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, parents and students for making the occasion a memorable and inspiring celebration.
