Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya Thrikkakara shines in the Glow of Christmas Delight.
In the glow of the festive season, Christmas Day unfolded with a spirited celebration, as students, teachers and staff embraced the Christmas spirit with open hearts. A vibrant atmosphere resonated with festive energy, permeating a plethora of activities and joyous commemorations to mark the Christmas festivities.
The day began with a special assembly, bringing together the entire school to kick off the festivities. Reverend Fr John Capistan Lopez from the Archdiocese of Verapoly was the Chief Guest of the day. He was accompanied by the Principal, Smt Remadevi K P, the Vice Principal, Smt Bindu M R and the Assistant Vice Principal, Smt Smitha Jayaraj. The assembly was graciously opened by Kum Arya Nair from Std XI welcoming the gathering and Kum Angel Suhas from Std XI eloquently presented verses from the Bible. Rev Fr John Capistan Lopez, delivered an insightful Christmas message, highlighting the importance of unity, kindness, and compassion during this joyous season. He added that Christmas serves as a poignant reminder that irrespective of our diverse backgrounds or beliefs, we are all connected by the shared thread of humanity.
Excitement radiated the atmosphere as the school choir delivered a harmonious blend of devotional songs and delightful Christmas carols. A captivating skit, featuring a heartwarming storyline and stellar performances, further enchanted the audience, spreading the joy of Christmas. The unexpected arrival of Santa Claus infused even more energy and excitement into the festivities. Santa, brimming with boundless enthusiasm, engaged with students, filling the school premises with laughter and festive cheer. To express gratitude, Kum Keerathana Nair of Std XI proposed a heartfelt vote of thanks.
Christmas brings in a sense of responsibility to give back to their communities during this festive time. In the spirit of giving, the school organized a charity drive as part of the social service club initiative,’Naam Onnu’. Students passionately gathered essential items and distributed them to 24 families in the local community. The overwhelming response underscored the students' unwavering commitment to make a positive impact on the lives of others during this festive season.
